Gratuity Calculator
Calculate your gratuity amount as per Indian labour laws using the standard 15/26 formula and eligibility rules.
Gratuity is a statutory benefit paid by an employer to an employee as a token of appreciation for long-term service. In India, gratuity is governed by the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.
An employee becomes eligible for gratuity after completing at least five years of continuous service with an organization covered under the Act. For calculation purposes, service exceeding six months in a year is rounded up to the next full year.
This Gratuity Calculator uses the standard formula:
Gratuity = (Last Drawn Basic + DA × 15 × Years of Service) ÷ 26
The maximum gratuity payable is subject to a statutory cap as notified by the Government of India. Taxability of gratuity depends on employee category and applicable exemption limits under income tax laws.
